Bit like Lisal.
It seems as I’m getting older the trips to the quak are getting more frequent. Eye op in March and god knows what else later in the year. Thank god I looked after my body in my youth so I still have score strength to rely on. As most of you who know me will tell. Being the finely tuned athlete that I am .......... Oh........ and I’ll be checking to see if yet another UKM beer meet is on the cards.

Same gs with me.
The NHS has been fantastic so far. The first time I was up there with my partner we were actually finished at the hospital 20 minutes before my appointment time was due. Up, again, last Friday for scans etc. - a bit of waiting around but nothing too awful. I didn't have that much idea of how it was gong to pan out so didn't want to arrange anything. |

I did talk to a consultant once about having sessions on the NHS.
Good for depression and all that. Apparently there’s no medical research that’s been done to back up my ideas.

Toon.
So, everything happened very quickly and I cannot speak highly enough of the treatment and, especially, the lovely, lovely staff of the NHS.
In particular. The treatment involved me having to lie very still for 45 minutes. The kit is so sensitive it stops if you blink. You have to go up for a trial a couple of days before to see if all is okay and to give you a sense of what it is like. The lying still (there are additional complications) was very hard and quite stressful. I happened to remark to the radiographers that a glass or two of vino before the actual treatment might make it easier for all concerned. Without actually given permission they didn't have an issue with the suggestion. So, on the day, I shared a bottle of Merlot with a mate before the deed. Apart from an IT hiccup it all went swimmingly. At the end I fessed up to one of the radiographers about the wine. She said 'whatever gets you through" and that I had been an exemplary patient Wise, wise lady and huge kudos to the NHS for superb treatment and support. Last edited by Lisal; 09-02-2019 at 16:35. Sorry I couldn't arrange a meet. It all happened quickly and I had to be accompanied much of the time! |

We are all falling to bits. It’s this bloody getting older that’s the problem.
Should be a law against it. I’ve been visiting one of drinking buddies in hospital lately. Idiot fell off a ladder and bust his head open. I feel sorry for the nurses. Him being from up north and all that. They ain’t got a clue what’s he’s saying most of the time. He said to one of the young nurses yesterday, “Are my testicles black” She was so sweet. Lifting his bedsheets and holding his cock with one hand and cupping his balls with the other. She said, “No they look fine” My mate replied, “It’s very kind of you but I asked are my test results back”

Well it is officially summer..... I think.
Nobody has been stupid enough. Errrrr I do apologise. Nobody has been brave enough to suggest another meet up. I have placed a bet with a well known gambling app that a future UKM meet of any description will NEVER happen...... ever. Bloody hell. I have just thought. How would I ever collect.
