Dungeon or Domestic
Setting for a session
Can't say I've ever been a fan of the traditional dungeon. A bit theatrical for me. Love sessioning in a plain domestic setting with a few kink things here and there. IMHO gives the domme the chance to really use her imagination How about you!

Nothing like a dark, well-stocked, atmospheric dungeon that locks out the outside world. Wherever you look, there are instruments and symbols of pain and submission and Her rule. Gets the juices and the imagination flowing! Love it.

Domestic...
Domestic for me.
As long as Mistress has all the necessary BDSM accoutrements with a bias towards MS, to satisfy our play requirements. So, a domestic playroom works for me. And whatever pain I receive, it has the comfort of something familiar. Don’t need the atmospherics of something dark and cold like a dungeon and these spaces tend to be shared. In a domestic situation, it’s nice to have a cup of tea and some cake afterwards, while receiving the *aftercare and session debrief. * and boy do I need it...

Dungeons in this country tend to be a bit meh. From personal experience that is
My first session was in the 90s. The quality of dungeons hasn’t really advanced since then. Maybe it is to do with the law. Owners are hardly gonna throw money at these places if there’s a chance the plod could close them down. Can’t remember who it was but someone from this parish was raving about the standard of BDSM establishments in Germany not long ago. No comparison he reckoned Seems to me like the high end dungeon experience in UK is rare. I’m not talking about equipment, just the style of building. Often draughty old premises, rented spaces, industrial areas etc. Not for me Last edited by Bjorn Brimble; 04-03-2024 at 10:11. |

Much more interested in the person rather than the play space and a dungeon is definitely not my idea of a play space.
But then again BDSM or even domination (I’m in charge) is not something I particularly look for.

At home in the Universe.
For my liking the contrast between tasteful and warm welcoming homely domestic surroundings* and the outrageous activities being endured or performed just adds an essential element otherwise missing in a ‘dungeon’ setting. I am lucky in that she is not a professional and so this is how it naturally is, and a large part of how we were able to initially relax with each other. There are no masks kept in a jar by the door. No space or time pressure, just simply at home in the Universe.
Home, hotel, holiday cottage. To be surrounded by easy peace and beauty is wonderful whilst we set ourselves to divine sin ! Even the occasional curious cat poking its head around the door adds an element of shared chuckle…”It looks all the world like she’s shoving a big…into his…whilst he is….Good Lordy, She is !!! Right, I’m off outside for the afternoon to annoy those birds at the bottom of the garden. F*cking weirdos….them not the birds, obvs.” Kind Regards, Rimmer. * Especially when toilets and showers are involved.
