Thanks all. It was my first post since finally re-registering after the board moved - so I'm glad it was a good one!

Lady Annisa - You'll have a great time! For accomodation in terms of districts, Mitte means 'middle' and is natually right in the centre. I'd say Friedrichshain, Kreuzberg (although not many hotels there) and Prenzlauer Berg are the more interesting areas in terms of alternative culture, art spaces, varied restaurants and bars and makes for a much more Berlin experience than staying in Tiergarten or Charlottenburg, where quite a few hotels are located. - Much of Western Berlin is more like many other German cities, wheras the eastern districts are completely unique imo.

Berlin has to be the number one place in Europe to go for a kinky break - I'd recommend it in a heartbeat to anyone!
