Default Ankle restraints

During a recent session, I flinched so much during a particularly heavy whack to my thighs with a cane that the D ring on one of my restraints gave up the ghost. I've managed to hammer the ends back together, but don't have confidence that the same thing won't happen again at some point. Can anyone recommend a good, heavy duty set that don't rely on a D ring with a split where the ends meet and that won't break the bank? Thanks.

Thank you. I've just had a look but their stuff is mainly metalwork type gear. I'm after leather type ankle restraints that I can tie to bed corners via the D ring or something stronger than the D ring. Sorry I never made that clear in my initial post.

I don't think the issue is with D rings as opposed to another sort of fitting. I think you get the D ring you pay for. Cheap restraints tend to have thinner, lighter, cheaper D rings that give in very easily. Quality restraints from quality suppliers such as

http://www.top-to-bottom-leathers.co...nkle-Cuffs.htm

will have sturdier, stronger solid cast D rings that are able to take more strain.

But bear in mind that these types of cuffs can only take so much anyway. If anyone is really trying to fight their way out of bondage they should be put in steel or rope rather than risk damaging expensive leather cuffs*.

*I had some lovely soft leather mitts that were damaged by someone deliberately yanking hard at the D rings to try and get free.

I wasn't actually trying to get out of bondage, in my case it was my reflex to the excrutiating pain of one particular whack that caused the D ring to give way. But I find it strange, no matter how thin or thick the metal, that split D rings are used anyway. Surely a continuous one, either welded together at the ends or manufactured all in one piece, would be virtually fail safe. And thank you for the site link you provided, much appreciated and I'll have a good look at it. And thank you to you too, Mistress Adara, for the site links you provided.

I don't know if you are a welder or familiar with welding, but it strikes me that when you join two pipes together you weld another pipe or joiner over both the ends and the two pipes are sealed together.

Any chance of that being a solution? bit of solder on the ends ?

Wouldn't the heat involved in welding or soldering damage the leather.

I'm thinking that you oh so obviously want to carry these restraints with you just in case a mistress doesn't have the necessary bondage gear.

Far simpler would be to carry round with you a roll of cling film.
Fantastic bondage stuff this and far easier to explain when going through customs.

Or so I have been told. !!!

If it's the former, I'm buying a pair, so thanks once again for the link.

No, not a welder. But even if I was, the D ring is quite inaccessible at the split because of the way it's built into the restraint, so that wouldn't be an option tbh. But I've hopefully solved the problem now, as described in my post before this one.
