Day to day wear its what ever is comfortable and practical.

If you are talking about what is the "sexiest" look then again that is a personal thing, some find the whole wearing corset, satin and Seidenstrümpfe a real turn on others modern day spandex floats their boat.

Well, it’s whatever floats your boat Reefy, but there is no reason why everyday wear cannot be sexy. In fact, that can make it even more so. Dress-up play is great fun but has an element of suspended reality about it.

Interesting to note how the changing underwear over the decades maps quite well the rise (and fall ?) of the liberation of western women, with a notable change occurring around 1930ish. Although that might just be coincidental with the invention of nylon.
