Looks like it could be another interesting day in Edinburgh later on today.

With Humza Useless inadvertently giving power of destiny to Ash ‘no great loss’ Regan his attempt to seize the initiative could have already toppled Scooterman AOT off his little trolly again after the Greens later confirmed they will support the no confidence motion.

Conceding to Regan’s demands on the Cass review and women’s rights could in any case create mutiny within the SNP, and with just a single abstention then he’s out.

These ‘culture wars’ now becoming politically very real.

…and then there’s Wee Nippy still waiting to find out her destiny.

Labour’s just loving it. Their leader Anas Sarwar is going to do really well in the upcoming elections.

From U-turns on the windfall tax and climate change targets to this very public sacking of the Scottish Greens, it’s obvious that Humza Yousaf has lost control of his party and that his leadership is in tailspin. Should have chosen Kate Forbes.

In contrast, Scottish Labour is ready to deliver the changes Scotland needs.

From a New Deal for Working People to tackling our soaring NHS waits, Scottish Labour has a plan for Scotland.

Importantly the shared visions between Labour Scotland and Labour Westminster are goal congruent, especially on clean energy and NHS. And meaningful deeper devolution will look better than independence.

Together they will make Scotland a world-leader in clean energy via the flagship GB energy and deliver 50,000 clean energy jobs.

And deliver on the public services people need.

A sea of riches is unfolding for them.

Result for the Arbroath West, Letham, and Friockheim council by-election. Conservative gain.

Con 41.9 (+10.5)
SNP 29.3 (-6.9)
Lab 16.1 (+9.6)
Lib 8.3 (+3.9)
Grn 4.3 (New)

It just goes from bad to worse for Scotland’s most useless and inept FM. He needs putting out of our misery.

"Netanyahu said on Wednesday that protests at U.S. universities against Israel’s war in Gaza were “horrific” and should be stopped, using his first public comments on the subject to castigate the student demonstrators and portray them as antisemitic.

The protesters main policy demand is that the U.S. Government stop sending military aid to Israel. Some students have also called on universities to stop investing in weapons manufacturers and to sell, or divest, holdings in funds and businesses they say profit from Israel’s invasion of Gaza and the occupation of Palestinian lands.

The protests increased in recent days at some of the most prominent academic institutions in the country, including Columbia, Yale, Cornell and the University of Southern California in Los Angeles."

Wonderful news to hear that our King is returning to duties and his cancer treatment is going well.

Camilla has turned out such a stalwart of a wife. One of those doughty never-complain indomitable older women who are the backbones of our society.

I know a few locally and their quiet determined Christian decency reminds me of why we are still worth fighting for.

She’s a good ‘un methinks…
