Default Friday...

What a Friday.

Early start over here for the second test. Got to keep the pressure on.

Our batting confidence will have grown...

Then it started to go wrong.

2nd Test: February 2–6, Visakhapatnam – India won by 106 runs.

3rd Test: February 15–19, Rajkot – India won by 434 runs. India’s biggest victory by runs and England’s second largest defeat.

4th Test starts tomorrow at 4am. It’s a must win but the trajectory would suggest that’s unlikely.

Think we might have to rethink always playing Bazball...

Default Rooooot!

Sublime century from Rooty. Just when we needed it most.

300+ could well be a good total on this pitch. Time will tell.

We’re still alive in this series. For now at least.

People are having funerals?

I’m in the quick cremation group - no ceremony but money for a wake for people to let their hair down, enjoy themselves and celebrate my life

And play this

Blimey, no need to call it a funeral just yet.

Give the lads a chance to get into the game. India haven’t secured anything yet and 302-7 is decent enough

Kind Regards,
Rimmer.

Rooty played about as far away from Bazball, as you could get. Playing with a straight bat, hardly any sweeps and watching the ball come onto him, on his back foot. That's how classic batsmen play spin.

We'll see after England's and India'd first innings how the land lies...

Day two looking good so far.

We added to the overnight total and now 20 year old Shoaib Bashir is leading the charge.

Shock inclusion but the selectors may just have pulled a rabbit out of the hat here.

Bet the Barmy Army are lapping this one up.

”To the regiment!”

Default Positive day...

So, England’d first innings ended on 353 runs. A decent total for the pitch conditions.

India found the surface difficult and ended the day at 2i9 - 7.

Gives England a decent advantage at the start of day 3. India will want to stick around and cut the deficit down to say 60 runs before England start their second innings.

What an inspired selection Bashir has been so far. Getting great length and spin from his tall arm delivery.

Tomorrow morning is critical and still a lot remaining in this test…

Well the deficit was down to 46 runs at the end of India's innings.

Then a spectacular batting collapse from England. All out for 145 runs.

India start day 4 on 40 - 0. 152 needed with 10 wickets remaining.

Looks all over...
