Most of the asylum seekers initially earmarked for deportation to Rwanda cannot be immediately located, the Home Office has admitted. Home Office documents show that of 5,700 asylum seekers identified in the initial cohort, the government had lost contact with 3,557.

They won’t be too hard to find. What with most of the people coming over in rubber boats being women and children liking for safe haven. They will be in some refuge I’m sure if it. Learning the ways of the country they want to live in, like English for instance.

CAA, of which the ‘openly’ Jewish Gideon Falter is an activist member, has worked with MPs from different parties and is a registered charity but a number of MPs and external groups have expressed concern about its political activity.

The group has continued to forcefully criticise Labour under Keir Starmer’s leadership, including the Labour leader’s visit to the Holocaust memorial in Berlin.

Two prominent Jewish parliamentarians, Margaret Hodge and Ruth Smeeth, have criticised CAA’s approach. “I’m fed up of CAA using antisemitism as a front to attack Labour. Time to call them out for what and who they really are,” Hodge tweeted after Starmer’s memorial visit. “More concerned with undermining Labour than rooting out antisemitism.”

Now that the amateur dramatics of Humza Yousaf’s incompetent leadership are dead and buried.

The SNP needs to move on from the Sturgeon era, and also needs to move on from Alex Salmond. In their day both were hugely powerful and influential figures capable of winning many thousands of votes, but that day has passed. The SNP needs Kate Forbes, not a legacy safe pair of hands, to take the party forward under a new generation of leadership. The past is a foreign country, they do things differently there.

There will be a bit of tension after the GE, if Labour clean up in Westminster and leave a SNP minority government in Edinburgh until 2026. Will Kate have the vision ? Swinney the Salmond and Sturgeon bag carrier has not...

Local elections tomorrow and guess what, the government decided to pay an asylum seeker £3,000 to take a commercial flight to Rwanda. The complimentary Bucks Fizz before take off would have gone down nicely and the £3,000 will help with out of pocket travel expenses from Kigali back to Calais.

The muslim vote appears to be collapsing for Labour across the Midlands and the North, so maybe the same is happening in London combined with the anti-ULEZ sentiment and the catastrophic rise in knife crime.

We have since 1997 imported sectarian politics on mass into our country, which is now not ending well.

Collapsing is a serious overstatement - not like you at all Slutty

It’s happened to an extent (Oldham the major example) but it hasn’t impacted much on Labour in other areas

In the great scheme of things the results so far have been awful for the government. Houchen and Street will be getting re-elected on their own personal performance. Notable that they both tried all they could to disavow any link to the Tories

But yes - Khan could get caught in a pincer movement

That’s because enclaves in the Midlands and the North West are the muslim strongholds in the country, and with Gorgeous George targeting those areas now and at the GE it spells trouble for the candidates who can no longer rely on the mohammedan vote. A certain A Rayner has had her constituency earmarked by George.

Houchen was never really in doubt. He has proved an excellent Mayor for commerce and enterprise in the Tees valley and folk are pragmatic and discerning enough to appreciate a genuine politician rather than a virtue signaller.

Don’t know much about Street.

The numbers coming out from these local elections are telling a complex story a lot different to the polling narrative previously and often regurgitated, and whilst the Conservatives have taken a fair old (and deserved) beating I still doubt if it is enough of a punishment beating to make the ‘One Nation’ centrist MP’s see the obvious.

If London is closer than expected (I doubt it - the noise is based largely on turnout which alone isn’t sufficiently robust to form a prediction) then that would be a useful indicator for the Conservatives which they would be well advised to not ignore.
