Regarding the Manchester scene, I have always been a little dubious about the overall feel of that area. I notice that very few Dommes in the area are truly independent with their own personal premises. Most of the Ladies seem to operate out of rental or shared communal dungeons which makes me wonder if the scene isn't a little 'controlled' by the landlords. There also seems to have been a historical and statistically improbable number of fires over the years, although this might be a side-effect of the rental mentality. Just my distant observation and not a comment on the standard or quality of the Mistresses.

There are all sorts of people in this part of Manchester, some nice, some definitely unsavoury. Doing stuff like this might attract all sorts of attention, possibly unpleasant, from people unsympathetic and unversed in domination etiquette.

I concur. Surely she hasn't thought this through properly? Aside from the unpleasant reactions it could illicit, it's simply not appropriate to force what is a very adult pastime onto an unsuspecting general public, which may include minors. "Unversed in domination etiquette" makes it sound as though it's a social skill people need to acquire, in my opinion domination etiquette would include not putting members of the public in uncomfortable situations!

I can't really imagine any subs being interested in such a scenario anyway IIH. I suppose it's taking Humiliation as a service to the nth degree, but, as far as I'm concerned, it's a service where less is definitely more.

Londoners & Geordies may read the phrase "Piccadilly Gardens" and envisage a beautiful green retreat in the heart of the UK's finest city. It's true that there used to be a fair bit of grass there but most of it is now covered in concrete & tramlines. And while some bits of Manchester (even some nearby streets) feel really tolerant & easy-going, you're right that this ain't one of those places.

I wonder if that's the point, though?
