Well don’t that man.

I think most neutrals would like to see the Gunners take the title rather than City.

Thought some ref/VAR decisions over the weekend have been icky at best.
A tackle on Saka for instance not even worthy of a yellow

Default Next season musings...

I was rather hoping that Fulham, Tottenham or West Ham would take points off City in their remaining matches. But, it’s not going to happen.

Will have to settle as runners up for the second year running. The Arteta project needs one last piece of the jigsaw puzzle, in the summer transfer market to knock City off their perch next season.

He’s 28, maybe a little on the senior side, but Ollie Watkins ?

Watkins speaks of his love for one of Arsenal’s biggest heroes. ‘My idol was Thierry Henry.

‘I always felt when he cut inside from the left and bending it in, that was always… I scored one against Luton! But Henry did it frequently.

‘I’m not on that level yet. But he’s someone I wanted to be like. I have my own style of how I play, but growing up he was the main man.

‘I personally think he is the best player to play in the Premier League. He could do it all and he was untouchable, really.’

An Invincible also.

What are you hoping for next season ? ...

Default Breaking news...

J Lo will be David Moyes replacement next season.

It's not really on, to blame Declan Rice for their failure this season. There are 11 players in a team. Leaking goals was the product of having one of the worst defensive records in the PL...

That is just managing expectations. You know there is a chance City could slip up, and let’s be honest it would be a popular title win for Arsenal.

Although believing or not believing for you as a disconnected spectator has absolutely no bearing on the outcome, so why do either ? Which underlies the futility and frustration of relying on reflected success for some sort of personal pleasure. It’s a dopamine addiction supplied from an unreliable virtual dealer…who keeps putting the price up !

How many of us here actually play foot-the-ball ? Or indeed partake in any sporting or physical activity which offers genuinely earned achievement and real deal dopamine ?

Kind Regards,
Rimmer.

PSG falter again. Even though both pundits on TNT sports said they wouldn’t.

The so called best player in the world (according to most pundits) didn’t turn up and the German side looked better all round.

Before someone goes on about how many times PSG hit the woodwork (although it’s metal)
Hitting it doesn’t count as a goal so there. !!!

Meanwhile West Ham handle a change of manager with their usual grace, efficiency and sensitivity

Yes. There is something wrong with PSG. They buy expensive players and change managers at a rate of knots, but culturally seem to be lacking a killer instinct at this level of competition.

Dortmund wanted it more, but are a very average and unexceptional team.

Faced with a final now of most likely, Dortmund v RM.

At the quarter final draw the odds were:

Champions League - Winner Betting Odds from Sky after draw · Man City. 7/4 · Arsenal. 9/2 · Real Madrid. 6/1 · Bayern Munich. 13/2 · PSG. 8/1 · Barcelona. 9/1 · Atletico Madrid. 12/1 · Dortmund 22/1

Funny old game footy. The best teams in the competition City and Arsenal failed to advance at the QF stage. I think that is largely due to the more intense season long competition we face in the PL, vis a vis Europe and the sheer number of matches played with smaller breaks...

I hear what you’re saying Ex. But there is an argument regarding the size and quality of that City squad that should negate what your on about.

Watched the game last night abd was just going to post something along the lines of ‘Germans take over London’………… when !!!

Also that last minute off side thing …….. you gotta laugh
