Most voters away from Dover aren’t going to know Elphicke’s views on anything but that could be a not bad response from Labour’s pov. Plus another Tory defecting to Labour

Whilst Jeremy Corbyn’s former director of communications, James Schneider, was more direct in his criticism of Starmer when he said* “It shows there is no principle on the back of the membership card that Keir Starmer won’t trample over in his rush to be indistinguishable from the Tories.”.

Even the Lefties see Starmer as an untrustworthy oily lawyer…

“Labour has registered its biggest poll lead since Liz Truss was prime minister, with the party now sitting 30 points ahead of Rishi Sunak’s Conservatives.

A new YouGov survey suggests the Tories would hold on to just 13 seats in a general election, with Labour enjoying a 452-seat majority.

The poll, carried out for The Times, showed Labour on 48 per cent and the Conservatives on 18 per cent among people who said they would vote and expressed a preference.

It would mean the party’s support is lower than at any point since Mr Sunak became prime minister in October 2022, following Ms Truss’s disastrous 49-day administration.

The polling comes as a senior Tory said the prime minister is ultimately to blame for the chaos engulfing the party.

The Conservatives suffered a mauling from the electorate in last week’s contests, losing nearly 500 council seats, the West Midlands mayoral race and the Blackpool South by-election.
Mr Sunak suggested the results showed the general election, expected this autumn, would produce a hung parliament, with labour falling short of a majority.

Pollsters described the claim, based on an expert’s extrapolation of the results to a national level, as deluded.

The YouGov poll would see the Conservatives win just 13 seats in a general election. The Liberal Democrats would be the official opposition if the results of the poll were reflected at the ballot box, with Sir Ed Davey’s party winning 44 seats.

Sir Keir has shown himself to be absolutely ruthless and that you can be to the left or right on the political spectrum as long as you support his party’s current vision and objectives, rather than the spouting of ideologies. It’s about what people and their elected MP’s want, not constant infighting from a party that puts its warring factions ideologies first…

Penny Mordaunt got a good line into Starmer this week when likening the oily lawyer to a Decorator Crab.

She told the Commons: “The leader of the Opposition is the decorator crab of these benches, desperate to show that he’s not really leading the Labour Party at all. He’s channelled Margaret Thatcher, he’s expelled the Member for Islington North (Jeremy Corbyn) with great fanfare – a man who he was campaigning to be prime minister only moments before. His exterior shell is stuck over with St George’s flags, his Gunners season ticket and several programmes from the Last Night of the Proms.”

The unprincipled crab then washed up on the shore at Dover camouflaged with Natalie Elphicke to announce his proposals to stop the small boats…which turned out to be little more than a ‘new’ dedicated task force to ‘smash’ the smuggling cartels. This idea appears to be a carbon copy of the previously tried and failed ‘Channel Clandestine Threat Commander’ introduced by Priti Patel.

All rhetoric and no practical detail to suggest how the gangs are stopped from launching across more than 100 miles of French coast.

A total non-policy.

…and a very cynical and deceiving one at that.

We see him beneath his decorations.

British public giving Israel the maximum number of points in the popular vote for last night’s Eurovision. The public at odds with the trendy but threatening and intimidating support for Palestine.

The way Eden was treated with such hate and hostility obviously caused a reaction here in the UK. Eden is of a similar age as the young women who were slaughtered and brutally raped by the Palestinian backed Hamas at the Re'im music festival on 7th October, and so the popular support for her from around the globe shows decency and sanity wins through. We are not buying the ‘genocide’ lie from the Palestinian loving mohammedans and their ‘progressive - what’s the next trendy fad ?’ activist followers.

A determined and courageous lass. Well done us all for supporting her.
