Right this is how you do it, You have a TV with built in freeviiew a dvd player / recorder and a humax.
You need to buy an aerial splitter (1 to 2) and a 1 metre co-axial connector.

The problem is that both the dvd player/ recorder and the humax need an aerial input. Neither will work without it.

So aerial splitter connects to DVD player/recorder, the aerial coming into your room connects to one of the sockets on your newly bought splitter. Then your newly bought co axial connecter goes from the other socket on the splitter to the humax.

You need two scart leads, both from the tv leading into the dvd recorder/ player and the humax. Lastly you need a lead from the dvd player/ recorder into the TV (aerial output from dvd to tv)

That works and because both the dvd and humax have their own aerial they can record programmes independantly of each other.

Took a bit of working out and the use of a few words but I got there in the end.

So I can now watch one programme and record 3 different channels.

As the great Aleksandr Orlov once said "simples"
