UKM - Rope? - UK

Not sure quite where to place this thread, but it's sort of a "Dear Marjorie" request, so the agony column seemed a good place.

So, why do some dommes insist on trying to tie you up with one loooong piece of rope. On several occasions I have been lying there, mentally tapping my fingers, whilst the domme tries for 10 minutes to sort out the tangle in the 50' of rope she is trying to use. Then it takes another half an hour to tie me up, as each time a limb is bound, the remaining 49' needs to be drawn through the loop or whatever. Also it never really gets tight, as there is always slack in the system? What is wrong with 5 or 6 (or more!) 4-6' pieces - ankles, knees, wrists, elbows...sorted!
