Who are those which ‘spoke out to challenge’ (what you perceived to be) transphobia, and out of all those who are the ‘many’ who had to deal with ‘insults and outrageous smears’ ? As far as I can tell there is just yourself repeatedly getting back what you dish out. Unless of course you see yourself as multiple people all with a persecution complex.

There are only about 6 people who contribute regularly to this board so it is difficult to see where you are getting your ‘many’ from.

I would say somebody who gets involved with all or most of the threads and keeps adding an input as and when they develop.

Even without being too definitive there really are not many of us. Certainly not enough to still have a sub-sub-class of ‘many’.

Granted we have some excellent posters on here who've stuck with the board through the lean times

But we don't possess much in the way of diversity. And that's a big problem for the future of the board.

So most who post on here seem to be older, straight, white, cis-gender guys.

A healthy bdsm discussion forum would also include women, BAME folk, LGBT+ folk, younger folk etc.

That way you get a better representation of what bdsm is in real life and discussions would be a lot more varied and interesting.

When it's just one demographic who posts it gets boring. I can't speak for you platey, but it would be nice to get a female perspective in discussions IMO

Once a culture of misogyny/transphobia etc develops on a forum it becomes difficult to reverse.
